Welcome to our regular music and entertainment guide, brought to you by Paddy McCarthy for your reading enjoyment
‘Bulmers Live At Leopardstown’ finished up on a great note on last week with festival headliners All Saints playing to one of the largest crowds the festival has seen.
Nearly 11,000 race goers enjoyed 7 great races, including Madhmoon winning the Invesco Pension Consultants Desmond Stakes before All Saints took the stage just after 8pm. Madhmoon has now raced at Leopardstown four times, winning on three occasions. He will be aimed at the QIPCO Irish Champion Stakes in Leopardstown next month.
All Saints played to a packed house afterwards thrilling the crowd with a long list of hits including Never Ever, I Know Where It’s At, Lady Marmalade, Bootie Call and Pure Shores.
It was their first Irish headline act for 20 years and the big audience was testament to their pulling power over twenty years on from their first hit.
Pat Keogh, Chief Executive of Leopardstown Racecourse said afterwards: “We have been absolutely thrilled with the Bulmers Live At Leopardstown festival in 2019. We have had a great mix of acts and eras over the eight weeks from Coolio to Bay City Rollers, Irish Acts The Blizzards and Something Happens and have finished on a real high tonight with All Saints.
“Tonight has been one of the most enjoyable nights I can remember here in my time at Leopardstown and a big thanks must go to our team here and to our long time festival sponsors Bulmers.”
