For over 30 years the Tipperary  Knights have performed at numerous Irish festivals and venues. Andy Cooney has eight Carnegie Hall sellouts under his belt and on December 12, 2016, filled The David Geffen Hall at Lincoln Center with The New York Tenors. His outstanding voice and dynamic stage presence have long been a favorite among young and old alike.

His talent and versatility provide the ability to deliver a song directly to the hearts of his audience; Andy is surely one of the greatest singing sensations on the Irish Music scene today.

Christened Irish America’s Favorite Son by The New York Times, it is a title he richly deserves. Andy Cooney is one of The New York Tenors, along with New York Italian Tenor Christopher Macchio and New York Puerto Rican Tenor Daniel Rodriquez, a trio which has been receiving high critical acclaim for a number of years. 

Andy has recorded 19 albums to date, including Bright Brand New Day with Phil Coulter and his Orchestra. Andy and Phil frequently tour together and in March 2017, completed a three week tour of the US. 

Cooney’s latest CD, Irish Country Skyline, was released in the summer of 2016 as a journey back to his Country music roots. This release has been getting huge airplay all over Ireland and the UK with his hit singles On The Eighth Day and My Rose of Ballinrobe, both his own compositions. 
Andy Cooney is also known for his Cruise of Irish Stars which annually draws over 1,000 Irish and Irish Americans on a Caribbean Cruise enriched with the finest Irish entertainment including the great Ronan Tynan. There is no stopping him now as he is now a Worldwide phenomena so keep it going Andy.

The Irish Arts Center (553 West 51st Street, New York City) presents some of the best concerts to be seen at this side of the Atlantic so here is a taste of what is coming. David Keenan in residence, Alarm Will Sound and Eartheater perform Donnacha Dennehy at Kaufman Music Center, Tobin’s Run celebrates the influence of gospel and the blues in jazz, their annual holiday concert comes home, and much more.

Here is news of the final few days of City Winery at Varick Street, so if you haven’t stopped by in a while, come enjoy a glass of wine for the City Winery 155 Varick’s final notes on Wednesday night. In the Loft they have Clare Bowen, Ramblin’ Jack Elliot, and Lera Lynn. 

Just because the doors on Varick are closing doesn’t mean that they don’t have some other exciting things to check out. Stop by their pop-up at Rockefeller Plaza, enjoy a Burrata Burger at their Yankee Stadium post, hang out in the First Serve Lounge during your favorite summer concert at Forest Hills Stadium, and of course, the wine is always flowing down at City Vineyard at Pier 26.

Speaking of City Vineyard, they have announced Peter Himmelman on the CV stage as part of their Voices on the Hudson series! Check him out on November 18.

In August The City Winery will present The Chemical Brothers at Forest Hills Stadium on August 1st and Sarah McLachlan And The New York Pops on August 2nd. My Morning Jacket W/ Warpaint will play Forest Hills Stadium on August 10th and Beck & Cage the Elephant W/ Spoon will perform on August 17th.

On Thursday, July 18 at 8 pm, The Paramount in Huntingdon, Long Island will be hosting Little Steven & The Disciples of Soul’s “Summer of Sorcery Tour 2019”. Ticket range from $29.50 to $99.50.

On Friday, July 19 at 7:30 pm Joe DeGuardia’s STAR Boxing Presents: “Rockin’ Fights XXXV” and on Saturday, July 20 at 8 pm The Paramount Tribute Series Presents: Mike DelGuidice performing the music of Billy Joel and much more.

The following day, on Sunday, July 21 at 8 pm Scott Stapp of Creed will be appearing with a special guest – Weapons of Anew.

Come to the Danbury Irish Festival from Friday to Sunday, September 20 thru 22.  It’s happening at 65 Sand Pit Road in Danbury.  Shilelagh Law, and the Mighty Ploughboys headline three full days of Irish music from traditional to rock and roll, with food, dancing, vendors, Irish history and a children’s tent.
