Happy Saint Valentine’s Day to all our dear readers ☘ Thank you for your continued support and for being part of our community. On this Saint Valentine’s Day, we’re sending a little Irish warmth your way — may your hearts be full, your smiles plenty, and your day touched with love and good cheer ☘️💖. From all here at The Irish Examiner USA we love you all.

We have a big event, or I should say, a lot of big events coming up especially for the whole Saint Patrick’s Day festivities, ah I’m looking forward to it so much and I am sure you all are as well.

Now here is one that is very close to my heart, The Cork Association, yes, I am from Cork City. So here goes, The County Cork BP&P Association of New York would be delighted if you could join them as they celebrate the St. Patrick’s season at their 141st Annual St. Patrick’s Ball & Dinner Dance taking place on Saturday, March 7 at Antun’s (96-43 Springfield Blvd., in Queens Village). This special evening will honor their outstanding 2026 Honorees: They are the 2026 Cork Man of the Year – Thomas J. (Tom) Browne, 2026 Cork Woman of the Year – Dr. Keara Browne, 2026 Frank T. Carvill Distinguished Service Award – Kevin J. Healy, and 60 Year Member – Daniel Cronin. Wow it looks like it’s going to be a bumper evening as you also might not know that County Cork is the biggest in Ireland, now what would the County Cavan people say about that? Well, we always slag each other, that is always lot of fun.

Now to continue you are also welcome to send greetings to the Dinner Dance Honorees, promote your business, or place an advertisement in memory of a loved one in their commemorative journal. “Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our community and to this cherished celebration. We sincerely hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you on the evening. With sincere appreciation.” This came from Diarmuid Connolly President, Martina O’Dowd, the Dinner Co-Chair and Kathy McCarthy, Dinner Co-Chair.

I am so sorry that I missed the Queens County St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Gala last Saturday that was held at Antun’s in Queens Village. The snow and ice kept me from going but I so much wanted to be there to congratulate the Grand Marshal, Michele Cusack who I had interviewed the previous week and what a very nice person she is. I am so sorry that I missed it.

That is all I have for this week’s Out&About; I will have a lot more next week I promise. Wishing you all a very happy Saint Valentine’s Day again and I hope to see you all again next week when I am Out&About again…
