Sligo Park Hotel has been steadily building an enviable reputation as a leader in the industry and is now celebrating as a recipient of the Silver Medal at the Virgin Media Business Gold Medal awards in Galway last week.

The award came in Ireland’s Family Friendly Hotel category and is more recognition of the successful efforts made by the hotel owners to consolidate and enhance an already big reputation within the Irish hotel sector.

The awards, which took place at the Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway, recognize hotels that have shown the highest level of excellence and quality within the hospitality industry.

Now in their 33rd year, the Gold Medal Awards are recognized as the leading independent awards program for the Irish hospitality industry.The Silver Medal, comes after Sligo Park Hotel won certification from the globally prestigious Great Place to Work Program (GPTW) in December.

The hotel is one of three companies nominated for the Skillnet Ireland Regional Excellence Award, which was open to any company that engaged in staff training programs and investment in personal enhancement over the last 24 months.

The winner of the award will be revealed at Sligo Chamber President’s Gala Dinner in Sligo’s Radisson Blu Hotel on February 10.
