Kevin J Conway Announced As Grand Marshal of the 2023 NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Kevin J. Conway, Grand Marshal of the 2023 New York City St Patrick’s Day parade was introduced to the community at an event hosted at the Irish Consulate by the Consul General of Ireland, Helena Nolan. Parade Chairman, Sean Lane introduced the Grand Marshal to a room filled with dignitaries, leaders from the Irish American community and New York City.

Mr. Conway will lead marchers up Fifth Avenue in the 262nd New York City Saint Patrick’s Day Parade on Friday, March 17, 2023.   

Kevin Conway is a long time New Yorker residing on Long Island with his wife Denis and their children. Mr. Conway is very proud of his Irish Heritage tracing his multigenerational heritage to Counties Leitrim, Cork, Meath and Limerick. 

He is the vice chairman of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, LLC a global private equity firm that he joined in 1997. Prior to joining CD&R, he spent ten years with Goldman, Sachs & Co., as a partner.

Former chair and current vice chair of the board of directors of Student Sponsor Partners, an organization providing educational opportunities to at-risk inner-city children in New York City he is also is a Trustee of the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

He serves on the boards of Catholic Health Services of Long Island, and the New York Catholic Foundation, which administers funds for the Archdiocese of New York in pursuit of the religious, charitable, educational, and community services activities of the Archdiocese.

Over the years he and his wife have funded numerous scholarships, and he personally has dedicated a lot of time helping Catholic health services and education on Long Island and New York City. We as a community are so proud of his achievements and we know that his selection will be popular with all New Yorkers.”
