All aboard for one of the biggest events that is happening in the Irish community! Ship ahoy! The AOH Div 7-hosted Celtic Cruise in support of the EIIC is only one week away sailing on Wednesday, June 8th with Siobhan Dennehy and John Tully ready to welcome you aboard.

Boarding from Chelsea Piers (12th Avenue at West 23rd Street) at 6 pm, and sailing at 6:45 pm you’re in for a gorgeous tour of New York Harbor, returning at 10 pm after three hours of live Irish entertainment with the Cunningham Brothers, Celtic Cross, Shay Mac and lots more, sightseeing, dancing, a premium open bar and a complete buffet dinner.

They’ll also do the drawing for the raffle whose 1st prize is a round-trip vacation for two to Ireland (car rental and BnB included

, thanks to raffle sponsors CIE Tours and Aer Lingus) with the 2nd prize being 12 dinners at fine restaurants in Manhattan! Tickets to board are just $125 per person, and tickets for the raffle are only $10 each.

Support EIIC at this first in-person fundraiser since the pandemic began, in any way you can, whether by joining them aboard The Spirit of New York, by purchasing raffle tickets or simply making a donation at a level that works well for you. Your support helps them to keep providing immigrant legal and social services to thousands of immigrants of over 100 nationalities at our EIIC’s New York City centers, year after year.

The Emerald Isle Immigration Center was one of several organizations in the city honored by a visit last week from members of the Oireachtas (Irish legislature), who joined them for conversation and a light meal at their Bronx office. They discussed EIIC’s overall legal and social services work, the upcoming capital renovation at the Bronx location, and issues facing undocumented immigrants.
