The 2018 Book Expo America Celebrates The Literary World

Book Expo America
May 30 – June 1, 2018
Jacob Javits Center
655 W 34th St.
New York, NY 10001

With over 150 exhibitors from across the world of publishing, the 2018 Book Expo America takes over the Jacob Javits Center from May 30th to June 1st. One of the largest publishing experiences in NYC, the Book Expo features a plethora of events for avid readers and insider editors alike. If anything reminds us of the value of books and all the knowledge contained within, it’s this annual set of panels, exhibitions, business meets and opportunity to catch on the news.

The Expo opens with a keynote discussion with Len Riggio, Chairman of Barnes & Noble, Inc. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders will also appear on May 31st to discuss his new book, “Where We Go from Here.” There is also a selection of education sessions to help aspiring publishers and booksellers figure out how to best utilize their circulation data, get PR tips, and how to find emerging talent in the industry.

Autograph sessions include author Afsaneh Moradian (author, “Jamie Is Jamie: A Book About Being Yourself and Playing Your Way”), D. L. Hughley (author, “How Not to Get Shot”), Kate Hosford (author, “Mama’s Belly”), Leigh Bardugo (author, “King of Scars”), and many more.

In addition to the Expo — which is targeted to publishing professionals — BookCon 2018 follows on the next two days, June 2nd and 3rd, and it features many, many authors that serious fans can meet, greet and hear them read. Among the notable listed are: Brad Meltzer, Cassandra Clare, Charlaine Harris, Chuck Palahniuk, and many more. For more info go to: www.thebookcon.com
