Niall O’Leary Joins A Cast Of Irish Stars For ‘Infinite Hope’

Each week we will highlight one artist from Paddy McCarthy’s regular Music And Entertainment Guide for your reading pleasure. To read the full weekly guide, visit our ePaper.

What can I say about Niall O’Leary? He is a man for all seasons and he is sensational in what he does best and that is dance? He can also play a few instruments as well, not too sure about the drums as I am better, watch out.

He has asked me to let you know about this event, so here we go. “Infinite Hope: Irish traditional musicians, singers and dancers performing in support of our black and brown brothers and sisters in their long struggle for social justice, human rights and freedom from oppression”.

Mick Moloney invited Niall to take part and he did a piece involving spoons and percussive dance! Jake James and Kahiry Bess from the Niall O’Leary Irish Dance Troupe are performing their own pieces in the concert also! The concert has a brilliant line-up of internationally-known musicians, singers and dancers.

The ‘Free’ concert was livestreamed on Wednesday, June 24 at 6pm EDT, 11pm in Ireland and the UK, 12 midnight in mainland Europe. You can also watch it now on the Green Fields of America YouTube and Facebook.
