I just want to finish off with some sad news that just came to me on a family that is very well known here in New York. It came to me from The Emerald Isle Immigration Center who extended their deepest sympathies to their Chair Emeritus Brian O’Dwyer and the wider O’Dwyer family following the death of his brother, William “Bill” O’Dwyer, who passed away peacefully at his home on August 9, 2026, aged 89.
Bill was the eldest son of prominent New York political leader and activist attorney Paul O’Dwyer and his wife, Kathleen (Rohan) O’Dwyer. He was born in Brooklyn on December 30, 1936.
Our deepest condolences to the O’Dwyer family on the passing of William, RIP, from all of us here at The Irish Examiner USA. See you all again next week when I am Out&About again…
