The Liverpool forward rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in music, film and television at the red-carpet event after being chosen as one of six cover stars for the magazine\u2019s annual issue.<\/p>\n
The 26-year-old shared his cover image on Instagram when the announcement was made, saying he was \u201chonored\u201d to have made the 2019 list as one of its \u201ctitans\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlways ready to help make the world a better place,\u201d he added in the caption.<\/p>\n
In his interview with the magazine, he discussed the importance of women\u2019s equality.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need to change the way we treat women in our culture,\u201d the Egyptian international told Time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI support the woman more than I did before, because I feel like she deserves more than what they give her now, at the moment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat has to be, it\u2019s not optional,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
In a piece for Time, British comedian and Liverpool fan John Oliver said he \u201cabsolutely\u201d loved the footballer.<\/p>\n
\u201cMo Salah is a better human being than he is a football player. And he\u2019s one of the best football players in the world,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n
Salah received the Premier League Golden Boot during a stand-out 2017-18 campaign, and has so far scored 19 goals for Jurgen Klopp\u2019s table-toppers this season.<\/p>\n
He was named this year\u2019s Confederation of African Football\u2019s Player of the Year, having also picked up the trophy in 2018, and he was named both the PFA Players\u2019 Player of the Year and the Football Writers\u2019 Association\u2019s Footballer of the Year last year.<\/p>\n
The other Time cover stars also included US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, actors Sandra Oh and Dwayne Johnson, pop star Taylor Swift and news presenter Gayle King.<\/p>\n
