McGregor was banned for six months, and fined $50,000 on Tuesday following an investigation into the unsavory incidents last October.<\/p>\n
Nurmagomedov received a nine-month suspension and a $500,000 fine after he instigated the post-fight melee.<\/p>\n
McGregor tweeted: \u201cI am thankful for the Nevada Athletic Commission\u2019s fair assessment and handling of the brawl incident.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nurmagomedov retained his UFC lightweight title when he submitted McGregor in the fourth round.<\/p>\n
The Russian threw his gumshield towards McGregor\u2019s corner and scaled the octagon before attempting to attack someone from the Irishman\u2019s team in the crowd.<\/p>\n
McGregor was also involved in a confrontation after members of Nurmagomedov\u2019s team entered the cage.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was not my intention to land the final blow of the night on my opponent\u2019s blood relative,\u201d McGregor continued. \u201cIt\u2019s just how it played out. I look forward to competing again soon.\u201d<\/p>\n
Posting a picture from the brawl, McGregor added: \u201cStraight left hand inside the attacker\u2019s jab.<\/p>\n
