\"\"Monaco have suspended first-team coach Thierry Henry with immediate effect pending a final decision on his future, the Ligue 1 strugglers have announced.<\/p>\n

The former France, Arsenal and Barcelona striker took over from the sacked Leonardo Jardim on October 13, signing a deal until June 2021 after leaving his post as Belgium assistant, but has had a dismal start to his reign.<\/p>\n

Under the 41-year-old, who started his professional career at the principality club, Monaco won just two of 12 league games and were beaten 5-1 at home by Strasbourg on Saturday.<\/p>\n

That result left the 2017 French champions \u2013 who were also runners-up last season \u2013 second bottom of the standings and three points adrift of safety.<\/p>\n

Monaco, who have signed Cesc Fabregas, Naldo, Fode Toure and Lyle Foster this month, were also knocked out of the Coupe de France on Tuesday night, losing 3-1 at home to Ligue 2 Metz.<\/p>\n

Henry issued a rallying call in the wake of that defeat, saying this weekend\u2019s clash with Dijon is going to be \u201cwar\u201d, but on Thursday night Monaco decided to suspend the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 winner.<\/p>\n

The club announced that assistant coach Franck Passi will take charge of training on Friday.<\/p>\n
