A general view of a television camera operator during the 2017 GAA Football All-Ireland Senior Championship Round 4B match between Down and Monaghan at Croke Park in Dublin<\/figcaption><\/figure>The GAA has today announced that it has reached agreement with eir sport and RT\u00c9 that will see four Allianz League games being simulcast by the two broadcasters this spring while RT\u00c9 will also begin broadcasting games from the AIB Club Championships. The new agreement runs from 2019 until 2022.<\/p>\n

eir sport will continue to be the home of Saturday Allianz League games under lights, a role it has been proud to establish and develop since 2005. eir sport will broadcast at least two games each weekend from January 26th this season, with a full list of these fixtures to be announced next week. Four of these matches will be simulcast by RT\u00c9. While eir sport will act as host broadcaster, RT\u00c9 will have its own editorial, presentation and punditry teams to bring its own style and expertise to the coverage.<\/p>\n

RT\u00c9’s live Club Championship coverage will run alongside TG4\u2019s coverage.<\/p>\n

Declan McBennett, RT\u00c9 Group Head of Sport said: \u201c\u201cIn increasing RT\u00c9’s live coverage of Gaelic Games across the GAA calendar year, we are reaffirming our commitment to bringing national moments to a national audience, free-to-air and guaranteeing coverage on RT\u00c9 television for nine months of the year for the next three years.”<\/p>\n

The GAA\u2019s Commercial & Stadium Director Peter McKenna added; \u201cThe profile and interest in both the Allianz Leagues and AIB Club Championships have grown significantly in recent years and this enhanced arrangement with eir Sport and RT\u00c9 will ensure even greater exposure to our games for the foreseeable future\u201d.<\/p>\n
