I paid a visit to the Irish Arts Center<\/strong> as I was invited by Tourism Ireland<\/strong> to an event marking the third season of \u2018Ireland with Michael\u2019<\/strong> on PBS<\/strong>. As their release said, \u201cWorld-renowned Irish tenor Michael Londra<\/strong> has returned to our screens with series 3 of his hit public television show \u2018Ireland with Michael\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProudly sponsored by Tourism Ireland, Aer Lingus<\/strong> and CIE Tours<\/strong>, the series takes viewers on an intriguing journey to popular and lesser-known destinations on the island of Ireland – to learn about Irish history; meets local artisans; experience small-town pubs and food; and enjoy unique musical and cultural experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIreland with Michael\u2019, shines a spotlight on Ireland through the eyes of its greatest assets, its artists.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentation was just fabulous and both Alison Metcalfe<\/strong>, Executive Vice President Tourism Ireland, North America, and Ruth Moran<\/strong>, Manager of the New York based Publicity and Communications team of Tourism Ireland. Well done, it was a great presentation for Ireland with Michael and the man himself Michael Londra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Look who I met at the Irish Arts Center: Noelle Clancy<\/strong>, the world-famous Joanie Madden<\/strong> and equally as famous Andy Cooney<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New York Irish Center is also presenting a book launch sponsored by Caddie Tours<\/strong> for The Gods of Clown Alley, A Memoir<\/strong> by Tara O\u2019Grady<\/strong>, who will join them for an entertaining evening of music and words and debut new songs she\u2019s been busy writing during what she refers to as \u201cThe Great Pause.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

May is Mental Health Awareness Month<\/strong>, and O\u2019Grady is using her book to promote conversation and spread awareness about matters of the heart and mind. \u201cWhat if I were to tell you we are all gods?\u201d This is how Tara, the narrator, invites readers into her illuminating story of self-healing at a mother-daughter retreat in Arizona after a debilitating depression that triggers suicidal thoughts and sparks a spiritual awakening with the realization that George Lucas was right, the Force is real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, are you all ready for the Solace Sunrise Walk<\/strong> with your sneakers on? The Irish Network NYC<\/strong> will be out and about as they kick off summer in the City\u00a0in style on the rooftop of the Brass Monkey<\/strong> (55 Little West 12th St, New York)! Irish publican Sean Cunningham<\/strong> has been given a high fashion makeover. Cunningham, who owns New York City\u2019s trendy Brass Monkey bar, was chosen by equally hip label Rag & Bone<\/strong> to be featured as a model in their latest Spring\/Summer 2015 menswear collection. Join the Irish Network NYC this Thursday, May 18 at the Brass Monkey Rooftop Bar from 6.30 pm. This free event will feature live music from the fabulous Murphy\u2019s Lawyer<\/strong>,\u00a0who are not to be missed!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What better way to start the summer by\u00a0catching up with old friends and meeting new ones, sampling\u00a0the delicious Brass Monkey IPA<\/strong> created in collaboration with a local brewery\u00a0and enjoying an evening out on a rooftop.
