The south-coast club, who sit sixth in the Sky Bet Championship, are searching for a new man at the helm after sacking Jason Tindall following Tuesday night\u2019s 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Former England captain Terry is currently assistant head coach at Aston Villa and Redknapp, who was in the Dean Court dugout from 1983 to 1992, believes the 40-year-old would be the perfect replacement.<\/p>\n
\u201cGiven the opportunity, he could be a really top-class manager. If I was a chairman looking for a manager now, John Terry would be top of my list,\u201d Redknapp told talkSPORT.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s at Aston Villa, he may not be interested, I wouldn\u2019t know what his long-term ambitions are, but I\u2019m sure he would want to get into management.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you\u2019re going to get into management, I couldn\u2019t think of a better club to take over than Bournemouth.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt really is a good club, well-run club, good players. It\u2019s all there really for somebody to come in and make a big success of it.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tindall, who spent the majority of his playing career at Bournemouth, succeeded the long-serving Eddie Howe in September following the club\u2019s relegation from the Premier League.<\/p>\n
Defeat to the struggling Owls was a fourth league loss in succession under the 43-year-old, leaving the Cherries 13 points behind leaders Norwich.<\/p>\n
A club statement read: \u201cAFC Bournemouth have today parted company with manager Jason Tindall.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a decision which has not been taken lightly, given Jason\u2019s outstanding commitment to the club as a player, assistant manager and manager.<\/p>\n
\u201cHowever, recent performances and results have fallen well below the board\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe feel a change is needed now in order to give the club the best possible chance of achieving the goals that were clearly set out last summer.\u201d<\/p>\n
Tindall, who played more than 170 times for Bournemouth, spent several seasons as Howe\u2019s assistant on the club\u2019s fairy-tale rise from the brink of extinction to the top flight.<\/p>\n
He was given his chance as manager following Howe\u2019s departure last summer but after a strong start, the Cherries have registered just one Championship victory this year.<\/p>\n
The club statement added: \u201cWe would like to place on record our thanks to Jason for his services to AFC Bournemouth over the past 22 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is someone who is fondly thought of throughout the club, having played an important role in rescuing the club from its darkest days and taking it on the greatest journey it has ever had.<\/p>\n
\u201cJason will always be welcome at Vitality Stadium and we would like to wish him every success for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
