\"\"Liverpool forward Sadio Man\u00e9 has tested positive for coronavirus, the club have announced.<\/p>\n

Man\u00e9 is self-isolating with what the club described as \u201cminor symptoms\u201d.<\/p>\n

A club statement read: \u201cSadio Man\u00e9 has tested positive for Covid-19 and is currently self-isolating according to the necessary guidelines.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe forward, who started and scored in Monday\u2019s 3-1 victory over Arsenal, has displayed minor symptoms of the virus but feels in good health overall.<\/p>\n

\u201cHowever, like with Thiago Alcantara, Liverpool Football Club are \u2013 and will continue to \u2013 follow all protocols relating to Covid-19 and Mane will self-isolate for the required period of time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Thiago missed the Arsenal game after his own positive test and he and Mane will both be absent for Sunday\u2019s Premier League trip to Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

Manager Jurgen Klopp will hope to have both players available when the Reds return to action after the international break in October 17\u2019s Merseyside derby at Everton.<\/p>\n

Man\u00e9, 28, has been in fine form this season, scoring both goals in Liverpool\u2019s win over Chelsea before also netting against the Gunners.<\/p>\n

His enforced isolation will also affect his international commitments after Man\u00e9 was named in Senegal\u2019s squad for their upcoming friendlies against Morocco and Mauritania.<\/p>\n
