{"id":13545,"date":"2020-03-17T08:17:54","date_gmt":"2020-03-17T12:17:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/irishexaminerusa.com\/wp\/?p=13545"},"modified":"2020-03-17T10:49:18","modified_gmt":"2020-03-17T14:49:18","slug":"uefa-to-postpone-euro-2020-until-next-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irishexaminerusa.com\/wp\/?p=13545","title":{"rendered":"UEFA to Postpone Euro 2020 Until Next Summer"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/irishexaminerusa.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/euro_2020.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"324\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13546\" srcset=\"https:\/\/irishexaminerusa.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/euro_2020.jpg 600w, https:\/\/irishexaminerusa.com\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/euro_2020-300x162.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/>Uefa has decided to postpone Euro 2020 until the summer of 2021, according to the Norwegian Football Federation.<\/p>\n<p>European football stakeholders convened on Tuesday to discuss the impact and fallout from the Covid-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Euro 2020 has been chief among the topics and the widely-expected delay to the tournament was announced by Norway\u2019s governing body.<\/p>\n<p>In a post on Twitter, the NFF said: \u201cUEFA has decided that the European Championship is postponed to 2021. It will be played from 11 June to 11 July next year.
