Rowling\u2019s own archives. From medieval descriptions of dragons and griffins to the origins of the sorcerer\u2019s stone, the exhibition &#8212; which opened\u00a0October 5, 2018\u00a0 and will end on January 27, 2019 &#8212; explores subjects studied at Hogwarts and offers original drafts and drawings by Rowling as well as Harry Potter illustrator Jim Kay.<\/p>\n<p>In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the U.S. publication of &#8220;Harry Potter and the Sorcerer\u2019s Stone&#8221; \u2014 the first book in the series \u2014 one can view illustrator Brian Selznick\u2019s cover art designed by for the 20th anniversary edition of the Potter series, published by Scholastic in June 2018. Mary GrandPr\u00e9\u2019s illustrations created for Scholastic\u2019s original editions anre on public display for the first time, as well as the costumes and set models from \u201cHarry Potter and the Cursed Child,\u201d the award-winning play.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is accompanied by a special audio tour featuring the voice of actress Natalie Dormer\u2014 available to ticket holders as a free Audible download \u2014 providing in-depth content on the objects on view.
