Making the announcement, Minister Bruton said, "Central to this Government's plan for jobs and growth is developing and deepening the impact of multinational companies here.
"We must attract more compaanies, we must ensure that they locate higher-value activities here, we must ensure that they have a greater impact on the economy.
"Targeting high-growth emerging companies is a key part of this, as these companies will establish deep roots here from early in their growth, and ultimately have a substantial impact on our economy.
"[This] announcement that six high-growth emerging companies are locating operations here with the creation of 100 jobs is great news for Dublin and Ireland.
"The Government is determined to build on this to ensure that we can continue to see the flow of multinational investment to Ireland and help create the growth and jobs we need."
Welcoming the announcement, Barry O'Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland said: "The announcements today from 6 new companies at emerging stage, with the creation of 100 new jobs, is very welcome news for Ireland and further adds to our reputation as a host for emerging companies.
"The importance of companies internationalising at an early stage has never been greater and Ireland provides a great environment in which to do this.
"Ireland has built a strong reputation as an international hub for a variety of business sectors and hosts the top ten born on the internet companies including Twitter, Google, eBay/PayPal and Facebook.
"IDA Ireland's strategy Horizon 2020, identifies winning investment from emerging sectors as one of its key targets and it is encouraging to see that since the start of 2012 alone, 40 emerging-stage companies have decided to set up FDI operations in Ireland.
"Ireland is home to key Foreign Direct Investment players across a range of sectors, and the availability of a highly skilled dynamic workforce, make it a preferred choice for innovative, proactive and fast expanding companies with ambitious plans. I look forward, on behalf of IDA Ireland, to working closely with all 6 companies as they grow their Irish operations."
IDA Ireland will partake in the Xsite event in Boston on June 14, to highlight to emerging companies the benefits of locating in Ireland.
