Parade Announces Alliance With The New York Helmsley Hotel

"We have been looking for hotels to help us accommodate and host some of the thousands of Parade participants who visit our fair city every March and we are now delighted that we can refer the numerous inquiries we receive for accommodations to The New York Helmsley Hotel," said Hilary Beirne Parade Executive Secretary.

"When we realized there was a need for a Parade recommended source of accommodations, we approached some Hotels and were disappointed with the response.

"This was very surprising, given the fact that the Parade web site is now regarded as the only source of information related to St Patrick's Day in New York City.

"In 2009 the web site had over 236,000 views on March 17th and over 1 million throughout the year," Beirne said in a statement to Parade delegates in Manhattan.

"We know a sizable number of the estimated 200,000 Parade participants and one million spectators currently stay in hotels outside the City in New Jersey and Connecticut prior to the Parade and we are now delighted to be in the position to recommend The New York Helmsley to our out of town organizations as a place where they can find first class accommodations."
