Never Forget!

Never believe that those who launched that monstrous assault, targeting innocent civilians in planes that carried yet more of our fellow citizens, can be dealt with through negotiation or the fulfillment of some political agenda.

As the eighth anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks looms on Friday, it is worth taking another look at what is at stake in the war that was launched by Islamic extremists on that fateful day.

Since 9/11, and perhaps unsurprisingly, the optimistic unity between politicians that we witnessed after the dreadful attacks has long faded into memory, with business as usual restored within the marble halls in Washington and Council Chambers across the nation.

As a result, focus is too often lost when dealing with issues that are vital to our national security.

Never believe that those who launched that monstrous assault, targeting innocent civilians in planes that carried yet more of our fellow citizens, can be dealt with through negotiation or the fulfillment of some political agenda.

Those who belong to groups expousing totalitarian islam do not value our lives, believing that the deaths of innocents are simply one way to advance their cause, and their agenda is one that we can never accept, unless you want to see Sharia Law forceably imposed across most of the Middle East, Mediterranean and Spain (their old 7th Century Caliphate).

As we have written before on this page, these enemies will be satisfied only when our culture and freedoms are eliminated. They view them as a threat to their existence and their religion and, to be frank, they are absolutely right!

Our freedoms and liberties, our cultural diversity and our belief in a generally secular yet moral culture, are anathema to their beliefs and they will use any means to destroy them, even if it means destroying their worldly existence too.

The attacks of 9/11 showed us the full extent of the threat from totalitarian Islam and now we need to show whether our culture and civilisation has the strength of will and belief to challenge and destroy the terrorists once and for all!
