"The incoming Director General, together with the Board and staff of FÁS, has an important body of work ahead, given the employment and training challenges currently facing the country. I remain committed to working closely with FÁS in addressing that challenge over the coming months, and the significant number of activation measures I announced yesterday is a clear sign of my and the Government's determination to assist those who are seeking work."
The Tánaiste concluded by thanking Mr. Eddie Sullivan for his excellent work on taking over the role of Director General of FÁS on an interim basis in December of last year.
