United Face Arsenal At Old Trafford

Six Premier League Teams Are Through To The Fifth Round

After the weekend's FA Cup games only six EPL teams were in Monday's draw for the fifth round.

Mansfield Town 0 Middlesbrough 2


In the Saturday's early kick-off 'Boro claimed a hard-fought 2-0 win over Mansfield thanks to a first-half strike from Dong-Gook Lee and a late own-goal from Jake Buxton.

Arsenal 3 Newcastle United 0


Emmanuel Adebayor scored twice to give his side a 3-0 win over Newcastle. The Togo international scored the Gunners' 100th goal at the Emirates Stadium in the 51st minute and added a second in the 83rd minute before Nicky Butt headed past his own goalkeeper a minute from time.

Liverpool 5 Havant & Waterlooville 2


Non-league Havant and Waterlooville gave Liverpool a scare - but a hat-trick from Yossi Benayoun ended their FA Cup dreams at Anfield The Blue Square Conference South side took a shock lead after Richard Pacquette headed Mo Harkin's corner past goalkeeper Charles Itandje before Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva leveled with a 25-yard strike. Havant took the lead again when Alfie Potter's shot was deflected goalward by Martin Skrtel. Benayoun equalized before half-time before completing his hat-trick with goals in the 56th and 59th minute. Peter Crouch added a fifth with a close-range finish in 90th minute.

Derby 1 Preston North End 4


Kevin Hawley scored twice to help Championship Preston cause an upset with a 4-1 win over Derby at Pride Park Simon Whaley added a second before Robert Earnshaw pulled one back in the second half but Alan Irvine's side restored their three-goal lead with a late penalty from Neil Mellor.

Chelsea 2 Wigan Athletic 1


Nicolas Anelka scored his first goal for the FA Cup holders to steer the Blues into the last 16 with a 2-1 win over Wigan. Anelka's scored in the 51st minute, before he then set up Shaun Wright-Phillips for the second goal eight minutes from time. Wigan sub Antoine Sibierski did score in the 87th minute, but it proved mere consolation.

Portsmouth 2 Plymouth Argyle 1


Portsmouth came from a goal down to defeat Plymouth 2-1 at Fratton Park. Chris Clark put Argyle ahead in the fifth minute but Lassana Diarra equalized in the 34th minute and Niko Kranjcar scored the winner moments before the break.

Barnet 0 Bristol Rovers 1


Rovers claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Barnet at Underhill. A close-range Richard Lambert header gave Rovers the lead just after the break. Barnet's Jason Puncheon had missed a penalty in first-half injury time.

Watford 1 Wolves 4


Wolves went through the fifth round with a 4-1 win over Championship rivals Watford at Vicarage Road. Two goals from Andy Keogh, one from Jay Bothroyd and a strike from Stephen Elliott gave Mick McCarthy's side a place in the next round. John-Joe O'Toole netted a consolation goal for the Hornets.

Southampton 2 Bury 0


League Two Bury held managerless Southampton for 71 minutes before Andrew Surman and Grzegorz Rasiak struck to put the Championship side in the hat for the next round.

Oldham Athletic 0 Huddersfield Town 1


A 10th-minute header from Luke Beckett gave Huddersfield a 1-0 victory over League One rivals Oldham at Boundary Park.

Coventry 2 Milwall 1


Iain Dowie's side took the lead with a Stephen Hughes free-kick but Jay Simpson equalized for the visitors moments before the break before Michael Mifsud got the winner in the 52nd minute.

Peterbrough United 0 West Bromwich Albion 3


West Brom won 3-0 over Peterborough at London Road thanks to first-half strikes from Roman Bednar and Robert Koren, and a penalty 13 minutes after the break from Kevin Phillips.

Hereford United 1 Cardiff City 2


In Sunday's early game, Kevin McNaughton's first-half strike and Steven Thompson's penalty were enough to help the Championship side see off their League Two opponents. Theo Robinson set up a nervy finish by pulling a goal back for Hereford 13 minutes from time, but Cardiff held on.

Sheffield United 2 Manchester City 1


Utd sent City out of the Cup with a shock 2-1 victory. Blades boss Bryan Robson saw his side clinch a place in the fifth round thanks to first-half goals from Luton Shelton and Jon Stead. Daniel Sturridge gave City hope with a stunning volley three minutes after his arrival as a half-time substitute, but the Blades were barely troubled beyond that.

Manchester United 3 Tottenham Hotspur 1


Cristiano Ronaldo scored another double to help Utd to a 3-1 victory over Tottenham at Old Trafford. Robbie Keane gave the away side the lead on 24 minutes before Carlos Tevez pulled United level on 38 minutes. Ronaldo then netted from the penalty spot to put Sir Alex Ferguson's men in front on 69 minutes after Dawson had been sent off for deliberately handling in the box and Ronaldo sealed the victory two minutes from time.
