A Band Of Celts Is Set To Take America!

Celtic Man - the new phenom from Sharon Browne and Phil Coulter

Celtic Thunder, the latest show from Sharon Browne, who was the creator and producer of the original Celtic Woman show, is set to wow US audiences in spring 2008. Sharon has teamed up with legendary Irish songwriter and composer Phil Coulter to bring "Celtic Man in Celtic Thunder" to the US stage.

Damien McGinty, Keith Harkin, Paul Byrom, Ryan Kelly and George Donaldson are collectively known as Celtic Man. The five principals range in ages from 14 to 40 and hail from Derry, Dublin, Tyrone and Glasgow respectively.

In Celtic Thunder each performer adds a unique style and very distinct personality to the mix; the name Celtic Man is used in the singular to emphasize that the vocalists are true individuals.

Sharon Browne's show Celtic Thunder is not merely about the music however. It is about depth and power and strength; hope and love and loss. The music in the show is an eclectic mix of songs that ranges from the traditional "Mountains of Mourne" and "Come By the Hills" to international hits such as "Brother's in Arms", and "Desperado", and classic pop songs "Puppy Love" and "Nights in White Satin" while also introducing exciting original compositions by Phil Coulter, such as the opening number "Heartland" and the theatrical "That's a Woman". The ensemble numbers in Celtic Thunder reflect the power of the vocalists and combine songs that celebrate a common Celtic heritage.

The show was filmed in the Helix in Dublin in August 2007 to phenomenal audience reaction. The DVD and CD of the show will go on release in the US on February 19th 2008, and a 50 city tour is set for fall of 2008. The Show, Celtic Man in Celtic Thunder will also be aired on your local Public Broadcasting Station in March 2008, where Stations will be pledging CDs, DVDs and tickets for the fall tour.

Celtic Man in Celtic Thunder is a must have. It is dramatic, nostalgic, dynamic and above all Celtic!
