Dublin Student Robbed For Cellphone
On Tuesday, the Dublin Children's Court heard that a student was robbed at knife point and then stabbed three times by a teenager who wanted the student's cellphone.
The Dublin City University student was allegedly approached by a 17-year-old boy and two others, who asked for his phone.
After refusing the teenager's demands, "the accused proceeded to stab him a number of times trying to inflict injuries so the phone would be handed over," said Garda Keith Halley of Santry garda station.
He told the court that the victim was stabbed three times, once to his arm and twice on his back. He received three stitches to his wounds.
The boy is charged with assault causing harm to the student and possession of stolen goods.
